Effects of Meditation

I believe the effects of meditation are unique for everyone. I can only share my own experience with you.

I new meditation was for me when I started getting up a half hour earlier so I could meditate before work, and it stuck. I had tried getting up early for other things, exercise, jogging etc. but I never could keep it up. Meditation was different. I began to look forward to rising early and spending time meditating.

I noticed the beneftis of meditaion right away. One of the first things that happened was that it helped me change my morning attitute. I have a tendancy to wake up and dwell on things too much (I am working on this)and many mornings my thoughts weren't as positive as I would have liked. After my morning meditation I felt GREAT! I would look forward to my day and felt "grounded". What an amazing way to start my day!

I think I was always interested in meditation, but what got me started meditating were books I was reading about tapping into the subconsious. Who would have thought? I started connecting to my subconsious which seemed to lead very naturally into learning self meditation. One of my first meditations was to visualize or focus on an object. I chose to visualize a goal.

I wanted more balance in my life so it seemed appropriate to choose scales as an image to focus on. After a few months I noticed that things and events were happening in my life that were creating balance. My life became more balanced and less hectic and it was then that I began to realize how powerful meditation can be.

Meditation involves quieting your mind so you can spend as much of your life in the present as possible.

I highly recomend meditating every day. As little as 20 minutes of meditation everyday will produce a noticable difference in your life.

Meditation can help clear your mind so you can see the path to Goal Realization.
